    2010 - 05.30

We had a terrific dinner at a local casino in Vegas with my fiancé because it’s a valentines day. And we got back to the house around 10 pm and at that point he wanted to take a ride up to Mt. Charleston . I thought nothing much of it, as that was the place when we held our first date. I thought he was being quite romantic at that time. So, away we drove to the very top of the site. And when we arrived at the summit of the mountain, we got out of the car and he said he had recorded a poem on a cd. He then began to play the cd on the car sterio and I intently listen into his words. It was so beautiful and meaningful. Then all of a sudden he turned around to me and began to get down on one knee. As the cd ended, it said, and I quote: “Anna, my sweet, my love, my life….will you do me the honor….”

At that point the cd stopped and he held both my hands, still down on one knee, looked me in the eyes and said the words that I longed to hear: “and be my wife!”

I was so surprised and overwhelmed and after that of course I pronounced a big YES! He got my hand then, and fit the ring and it was so beautiful, a perfect fit. I could never imagine a more romantic and heartfelt proposal in all my life.

Then we talk about our coming marriage and we want it to last forever. And he said about the marriage counseling. And I asked who will be our marriage counselor and he said his friend who was a priest. Then he embraced me so tight and said these words “I love you”.
